Happy 4th of July

Wow, I can’t believe we have been here a month or so. It seems longer and I can’t tell you why.
So we went to the gathering of The American Club of Paris for their 4th celebration. And to be honest, except for a few, I wouldn’t give you house room for most of them. Rude, pushy and very self absorbed. Not our crowd. The event was not well managed and even though it was a BBQ, we never did get a chance to eat, so we left. C’est la vie!
Wandered through the neighborhood, as the event was at the Musee de Montmartre and you really are at the top of Paris. Wonderful view over the rooftops.

We wandered back down the hill to our apartment and on the way discovered the wonderful shops and markets yet to be explored. Great butcher and fish store, as well as a spice store. Who knew. I could have lost the afternoon in that one! Although the funny thing is I can’t find Rosemary in any of the stores and he was out as well. I am tempted to filch some off any bush I pass, but would probably get caught. We did wander past a great little flower shop and I bought a small rosemary plant to use for cooking. I hate to sacrifice him, but, one for the team.
