We left yesterday to start our exploration of Normandy and revisiting Le Havre. Easy train ride from Gare Saint Lazare
Le Havre is an interesting town, about 160,000, working port with various industries, not a tourist town. As you might imagine the town was badly damaged during the war and so much was rebuilt over the last eighty years, giving it a mixed architectural vibe. We’ve yet to discover it all, but that’s the fun of it.
Now off to see if we can find someplace to hang our hat. No luck so far, oh well. We realize this many not be a short journey so we carry on. Not certain our realtor has our patience. But we have only seen 5 houses. Interesting, some, scary others, but nothing we would write a check for.
So we look to find a rental as well. Yikes, the thought of moving twice scares me to death.
And we press on.
